Measurement Systems

The basic element of Hyspan Venturi Flow Measuring Systems (formally Barco Venturi Flow Measuring Systems) is based on the well established engineering principle, Bernoulli’s Theorem, which establishes the relationship of pressure differences with velocity changes. The venturi is a maintenance free, economical and accurate method of flow measurement withthe minimum system pressure loss.

Venturi systems are used for flow measurement and balancing of facility heating and cooling systems, scientific research, and fire pump flow testing. Hyspan venturis are available in nominal pipe sizes ” through 24” with a wide variety of accessories including direct reading meters, portable master meters and special fittings. For increased accuracy, flow calibration services are available.
